Job Description You will be responsible for the inspection of a vehicle, pickup and transport of passengers and luggage from the resort communities to the various airports we service in a safe and timely manner. After completing your driving shift, you are required to clean, fuel and conduct post-trip inspection of the vehicle. You will communicate and follow instructions from dispatchers. You will keep and submit accurate records of trip information as required. Other routes may be available occasionally.
Schedule/Shifts The
average full-time seasonal guest service driver will work up
to 15-hour days and 60 hours per week. The guest
service driver position is very time-intensive. Guest
service drivers earning upwards of $2,500 per month may be
required to work up to 70 hours per week. Shifts begin at
4:30am and vary after that throughout the day. The Federal
Government limits a guest service driver's total on-duty
time to 70 hours in eight consecutive days.
VISA Employment Requirements J1 VISAS – must be able to work through April 1, 2008. H2B VISAS – must be able to work through April 15, 2008. The fee associated for this VISA is $625. You will be responsible for a $300 down payment at the time of completing Colorado Mountain Express employment application. The $325 remaining balance will be deducted from your paychecks.
Wage & Benefit Information Wage The earning potential for this position is between $2,000 and $2,500 a month without gratuities while working a 60-70 hour week. Gratuities are variable but can add up to another $1,000 per month.
End of Season Bonus The bonus period is from November 12, 2007 to April 13, 2008 (22 weeks). The bonus calculation is up to 10% of accumulated run pay. Half (5%) of this bonus is based on safety requirements of the job and the other half (5%) is based on your commitment to work through April 6, 2008. Ski Pass Program A reduced retail rate ski pass can be financed through CME. It requires $300 to be paid in advance. The remaining balance will be deducted from your paychecks.
Housing The housing is off-site. A security deposit of $300 and a partial first months rent payment of $300 are required to guarantee a room. Rent ranges from $525 to $675 per month for an individual room. All utilities are included except telephone/internet.
Transportation Free transportation is provided to and from work, if you are in CME housing.
Discounts/Employee Services Employees receive free shuttle transportation to and from the airport. Relatives receive a 75% discount and friends receive a 50% discount.
Uniforms CME provides a uniform consisting of a hat, turtleneck, vest and jacket, which must be returned at the end of the season. You will be responsible for supplying your own black pants and black shoes.
Training Paid training consists of classroom/field time that will last 5-8 days. The first training class will begin in early November and the last training class will start the second week of December.
Vacation/Time off There will be NO vacations available during the ski season. Schedule requests must be turned into the manager by no later than 8-days prior to the time of the request.
