The Winter X Games 12 will take place January 24-January 27, 2008 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, CO. The annual event features athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the following sports: Skiing, Snowboard and Snowmobile. All events will be held outside and is free to the public. 2008 events include: Winter X Snowboarding – Big Air (4 riders), Slopestyle (20 men, 20 women), SuperPipe (20 men, 20 women), and Snowboarder X (30 men, 18 women). Winter X Skiing – Big Air (4 riders), Skier X (30 men, 18 women), Slopestyle (20 competitors), SuperPipe (16 men, 10 women), and Mono Skier. Winter X Snowmobile – Freestyle (10 riders), SnoCross (32 riders), and Speed & Style (8 riders).
