Celebrate July 4th in Colorful Colorado

Visiting Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, Beaver Creek, Glenwood Springs, or Aspen-Snowmass during Fourth of July weekend?

There is plenty to do in the Rocky Mountains for the 4th of July. Colorado is a great destination to celebrate America’s Birthday.

A little history on America’s Birthday…
On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress as an official way to declare the United States’ independence from Great Britain. Every year in the United States, we still celebrate that independence with parades, festivals, barbecues, fireworks and picnics. Since the fourth of July is a federal holiday a lot of people are off work that day and celebrations start in the early morning and go until late at night when the fireworks begin.

4th of July Celebration - Vail / Beaver Creek

Visit during Vail's Independence Day activities including a July 4 parade, free street entertainment, a patriotic concert at Ford Amphitheater and fireworks on Vail Mountain. The parade begins at 10 AM in Vail Village and winds its way throughout town to the Lionshead Mall. If you crave a different fare, you can try the Fourth of July Clambake in Beaver Creek that offers live entertainment, barbeque, seafood and other food, plus outdoor fun for everyone regardless of their age.

This July 4th, River Run is celebrating our nation's birthday with flare. Bring your bike, tricycle, or wagon and join us for our popular annual bike parade. Stick around for some major celebrating, complete with music, food, beverages, bounce houses, kids crafts, face painting, and wacky entertainment.

6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Music at Keystone Lake with Jim Salestrom. An incredible songwriter, a gifted guitarist and a seasoned performer, whose music crosses generational boundaries and is enjoyed by fans of all ages.
