Looking for some fun on Vail Mountain?

Try Eagle’s Nest at the top of the Gondola. Adventure Ridge is Vail’s Mountaintop Activity Center for a Family Night out!
"If you are visiting Vail with kids and you're looking for kid friendly activities, look no further than Adventure Ridge!  Last night, to celebrate my son's birthday we went to Adventure Ridge for some tubing.  The first pleasant surprise is they are running a 50% off deal so instead of the usual $25/hr charge, it was only $12.50/person per hour.

We weren't sure if this was age appropriate for them (they are 7 & 9 yrs old) but they had a blast.  My wife and I had a great time as well.  This activity is not for the faint of heart.  The sledding hill is pretty steep and the first ride will definitely take your breath away.  After a couple of runs we got the hang of it and even stayed an extra 15 minutes to get a couple of extra runs in.
Like everything else at Vail, they have taken away the tedious and left the fun.  In the case of their tubing hill, no need to trudge up the hill.  You just hook your tube onto a rope tow and up you go!  The staff there is extremely helpful and did a good job of being safe and helping our kids overcome their initial fear.  Our 9 year old proclaimed, "Best birthday ever!”  I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!"

Ski Biking

What a thrill!
Since I am a snowboarder, I was a little nervous trying out the ski bikes at Adventure Ridge.  Our guides provided us with the proper boots, helmet, and head lamp for our safety.  Ski Biking takes place in the dark, so the head lamps were crucial.  We took off with a small group and made our way down the slopes in the dark.  It was such a surreal feeling gliding through the glowing champagne powder. It was so quiet, it felt like you were the only one on the hill.  We went down a blue run and my technique got better, so I was cruising.  There was always a guide in front of us and one behind us to make sure we were all on the same route.  It was such a rush I screamed the whole time.  I recommend this activity as a must on Vail, its just a change from the regular skiing and snowboarding.
