| March 05, 2009 | | release provided by Vail Resorts | Beaver Creek, Colo., March 2, 2009—The final installment of Beaver Creek’s Wine and Spirits Series takes place March 6-7 and includes a weekend of wine and spirits seminars, tastings and dinners, hosted by food wine and travel expert, Anthony Dias Blue.
The weekend kicks off with a “Dining on a High-Rubissow” Dinner with the high-altitude wines of Winemaker Timothy Milos at 8100, the newly renovated restaurant in the Park Hyatt at Beaver Creek.
The exalted wines of Mount Veeder meet the exalted food of the Park Hyatt's chic new restaurant. Sip rare Napa cult wines while dining on some of Colorado’s finest cuisine. An unforgettable experience to savor!

The Dining on a High-Rubissow dinner takes place on Friday, March 6 at 7p.m. and the cost is $95 per person including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek at (970) 827-6600.
On Saturday, March 7, the Beaver Creek Chophouse hosts Mountain Magic - The Elevated Cabernets of Napa's Mount Veeder Appellation Wine Tasting at 3 p.m. The best and most highly-valued wines come from hillside vineyards. Although yields are a fraction of what can be produced on the valley floor, hillsides provide better sun exposure, better air circulation, and better drainage.
This focused seminar will examine the phenomenon that is Mt. Veeder, one of Napa’s most elite sub-appellations. The Cabernet Sauvignons grown here are among the most admired cult wines of California.
Along with the wine tasting, the Beaver Creek Chophouse will pair wines with their featured cuisine. The Paso Mountain Magic Wine Tasting is $20 per person and reservations should be made by calling 970-845-5974 or email kdeighan@vailresorts.com.
