Vail Golf Club Season Pass Sales Begin this Week

Purchase a 20 Round Pass by May 15 and Play for $17.50 Per 9 Hole Round Throughout the Season

The Vail Recreation District (VRD) will begin selling Vail Golf Club season passes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Wednesday (4-1) at the Vail Golf Club. Reduced rates are being offered in 2009 to offset minimal impacts golfers may experience during the club's irrigation renovation this summer. During the irrigation work, golfers can expect a minimum of 17 holes available for play at all times (once all 18 holes are available). The golf club is scheduled to open May 15, weather permitting.

This year, the golf club will offer both 10 and 20 round passes and four season pass options. Details are as follows:

10 OR 20 ROUND PASSES
Those who purchase 10 and 20 round passes by May 15 will receive five free small range ball bags and a one-time, 30 percent discount ($90 maximum) off all soft goods purchased in the Vail Golf Club pro shop. The 10 and 20 round passes are a reduced rate of $100 over 2008 and are transferable, but restricted during peak season play. For rates and additional details, click here.

SEASON PASSES
Those who purchase Gold and Silver Passes by May 15 will receive up to a $200 reduced rate over 2008, plus 10 free small range ball bags; a 12 round punch pass to allow up to three guests per day to play with the pass holder at the then current VRD residential daily rate; discounts at Happy Valley Grill; a one-time 30 percent discount ($90 maximum) off any soft goods purchased in the Vail Golf Club pro shop; and an opportunity to participate in one free group lesson. Season pass holders also can play Cotton Ranch Golf Course for $50 per round throughout the season. For a description of the pass options and rates, click here.

An annual application including proof of taxpayer status is required to purchase the VRD Resident Pass, VRD resident rates, Eagle County Pass and Eagle County taxpayer rates. Season pass holders are allowed to play any time, any day during the shoulder season. During the peak season, season pass holders are allowed to play Monday through Thursday any time and after noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Play is restricted during holidays including Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July weekends. Junior Golf Passes are available to VRD resident dependents under age 17.
