Safety Fest will be at Copper Mountain, CO on Saturday, January 19th – Monday, January 21st. Copper supports the National Ski Area Association’s Safety Week with the 2008 Safety Fest. The Safety Fest will include three days of education, demonstrations, giveaways and safe skiing and riding. Safety Fest will be hosted at Copper’s Burning Stones Plaza. Each day guests can visit Copper‘s Safety Tents to learn about safety, earn a chance for daily prize drawings and watch the avalanche dog demo. On Saturday, January 20, Copper welcomes the Flight for Life helicopter. Learn new safety tips on helmet safety, backcountry knowledge, terrain park safety, Copper’s guest safety initiative, Know Your Space, and lessons from Summit County Emergency Services. CME will attend the 2008 Safety Fest and promote our safety message. The Colorado State Patrol/ CME safety video will be displayed in CME’s tent. By partnering with Colorado State Patrol, our goal is to make CME better and I-70 safer. We will have the skid-van on site as well to demonstrate the rigorous training our drivers receive at the Center for Transportation Safety.
