Copper’s Summer Schedule will feature live music, cycling and family fun

This summer, Copper Mountain will offer guests a chance to sit back and listen to national music acts, to run half marathons, and to pedal on celebrated road rides.
This Summer at Copper will offer family and friends an intimate pedestrian-friendly resort village that produces world-class events and entertainment, including the Courage Classic, US Half Marathon, Copper Triangle, 3 Ring Weekend - with a new eco-friendly twist this year - Guitar Town and Copper Country.
 
The following is Copper’s summer events line-up…

3 Ring Weekend; July 4-6
A unique holiday weekend for the whole family featuring live music by Rusted Root, a sustainable “eco-village” including recycled art installations and hands-on, interactive activities designed to educate and entertain.  Copper’s 3 Ring is a weekend-long event dedicated to celebrating nature and the mountain, providing a fun, free connection to the resort, its families and the environment.  For more info, visit http://www.3ringweekend.com.

National Repertory Orchestra Ensemble Performance; July 12
The National Repertory Orchestra provides a high-alpine summer fellowship program for the most promising young orchestral musicians.  Each summer, almost ninety musicians are chosen in a nationwide audition tour to participate in an intense symphonic orchestral experience.  The NRO performs two full orchestra concerts each week as well as this year's smaller chamber concert on the West Lake Stage in The Village at Copper on Saturday, July 12 from 4-5 p.m., which is free and open to the public.

Courage Classic; July 25-28
The 19th annual Courage Classic returns to Copper Mountain for a three day bicycle event to benefit The Children’s Hospital.  Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy a 157-mile ride with routes from Leadville to Summit County and back. For more info, visit http://www.couragetours.com.

Copper Triangle; August 2
The Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides.  Graced with 78 miles of breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs (including Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass and Vail Pass) the Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies. MINIs in the Mountain; August 6-10
The MINI Coopers return to Copper in 2008 for the third annual rally of both new and classic MINIs.  These unique autos motor through the high alpine roads with several organized drives planned each day.  For more info, visit http://www.mini5280.com.

Guitar Town; August 8-10
Three free days of the world’s best guitarists come together at Copper for the 4th annual Guitar Town festival.  Guitar sales and expos, workshops and jam sessions will be available.  For more info, visit http://www.copperguitartown.com.

Yarmony Grass; August 15-17
Yarmony Grass is a progressive western jamgrass festival, all about exploring the lineage of jamgrass and fostering its development for future generations.  Call this the "Jamgrass Side Project Festival," where established jam artists come to pick and play with like-minded progressive western bluegrass players. US Half Marathon; August 23
The Copper Mountain US Race Series Half Marathon returns for a second year of competition.  In addition to the half marathon through the scenic Rocky Mountains, runners can test their skills with the family style 12k run and 5k walk. For more info, visit http://www.copperhalf.com.

Copper Country; August 29-31
A Labor Day festival tradition at Copper Mountain, Copper Country celebrates the best of the American spirit.
