Carsharing for business!

CAR TO GO!

Now more than ever, businesses are looking for ways to cut costs. Here’s a money-saving option you may not have thought of: carsharing for your workplace!

If your business is paying to own and maintain a fleet or administering a time-consuming mileage reimbursement program, CAR TO GO might be for you.

CAR TO GO, Aspen’s carshare program, provides members access to a fleet of cars parked in convenient spaces around town for a small monthly fee. Vehicles include hybrids, wagons and a pickup truck. Members reserve cars via phone or on-line, paying only for the hours and mileage used.

Low rates include:
-Gas
-Insurance
-Maintenance
-24-hour roadside assistance
Detailed monthly statements can be customized with coding for your internal needs. In addition, program members receive discounts on airport shuttles from Colorado Mountain Express as well as long-term car rentals from National.

In other RFTA news, please be aware of a recent scam with RFTA monthly validation stickers. Some passengers are tearing the monthly stickers in half and sharing/selling the other portions of the sticker. This is not permissible and if caught, the passenger(s) will no longer be able to use monthly passes. If you are approached with an offer of a torn monthly pass sticker, please alert RFTA at 925-8484.

Valley NEWS: The Federal Government’s recently passes American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has resulted in the funding of several Interstate and highway projects around Colorado. Locally, the funding has provided the green light to the I-70/State Highway 82 interchange (#116) in Glenwood Springs. This safety improvement project will upgrade traffic signals and improve ramp width and length to benefit both pedestrians and vehicles.
